Living Active is for everybody! Washington’s PTO, thanks to Elisa Darrington, are hosting a Nutrition Month of November Challenge. Each day teachers will complete a challenge to help their health and wellness. If they cross off all 30 challenges they will be entered in a drawing to win prizes like messages, gift cards, and money!
Cheer your teachers on and ask them about their fitness. Remember, a body that is in motion stays in motion. Live Active today!
Chucky Cheese came out to Wildcat Country to support the Chucky Cheese Night fund raiser put on by Washington’s PTO. The kids had a blast and it was excellent to see Chucky living active with the kids, playing tether ball, football, and running during Living Active class!
Brenda Guarjado, a senior at Caldwell High School volunteered her time to help Wildcat Country get bigger, faster, stronger, and smarter. She is finalizing her senior project on childhood obesity and wanted a first hand look at what physical education is all about at the elementary level. She is a wonderful young woman and an incredible role model. Brenda thanks again for helping make Caldwell a better place.
First Tee of Idaho is back in Wildcat Country. Jon Stein has done it again! Him and his team are volunteering their time and equipment to Wildcat Country to help students get bigger, faster, stronger, and smarter.
Some of you might be asking, “What is the First Tee?” Great question: The First Tee of Idaho is a non-profit organization whose mission is to positively impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.
The First Tee has also donated 15 shirts, most of them dress code approved, to the Living Active program. This program makes a huge impact on kids and we are lucky to have them! Thank you First Tee!

We all have choices to make in life. Some choices are small (What will I have for breakfast today?), and some choices are big (Do I eat healthy?). The small choices that we make every single day eventually turn into big choices. One of the biggest choices we make is the whether or not we exercise regularly. Last night Wildcat Country was making great choices and living active! Over 250 people filled the gym, lunchroom, stairs, library, and classrooms of Wildcat country for one common purpose…to live active!
We are so proud of all the families and students that are dedicated to fitness and becoming better people!
Mr. O’Brien would like to personally thank everyone who attended Wildcat Country’s first EVER Fitness Night.
We will be working through movement pathways and teamwork. We will also be focusing on oxygen transport and how our bodies process carbon dioxide and oxygen.
Our sport focus for the next few weeks will be football. Remember to step in opposition and always give a target when receiving a pass.
